The History of James Bond

James Bond, famously known as 007 and the most iconic action man in history, was a character created by Ian Fleming in 1952. Fleming portrays Bond as a tall, handsome man in his thirties or forties. He is a smoker, womanizer, and heavy drinker. On the good side, Bond is a specialized marksman, and skilled in golf, swimming, and hand-to-hand combat. He kills as a form of self-defense or when carrying out specialized orders. Actor Barry Nelson was the first actor to portray Bond in 1954, in a film called Casino Royale. Ever since that film made its debut, a total of twenty- four films based on James Bond have made their way to screen, with the latest one being expected in 2020.

Actor Sean Connery was cast to pray the iconic action character. Fleming was initially not thrilled by his casting but he later accepted Sean due to his physicality. Seven actors have played the titular character including the current James Bond Daniel Craig, Pierce Brosnan, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, David Niven, and George Lazenby. The films have been noted for their action sequences worldwide.
